Important Information for Visitors – January 11-13, 2013

As we celebrate the grand opening of the US Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center, there will be some changes to the Hours of Operation and Driving Directions all visitors should be aware of. We apologize for any inconvenience and ask if you have any questions to visit www.nationalwwmuseum.org or call 504-528-1944.

Hours of Operation

All exhibit galleries will be available with modified hours. The Soda Shop will maintain its standard business hours of 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Friday, January 11th

The Louisiana Memorial Pavilion and exhibit galleries will be open the normal hours of  9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The American Sector Restaurant will close at 2:00 pm.
The last screening for Beyond All Boundaries will be 3:00 pm. The 1:00 pm screening is sold out at this time.
There will be no performance in the Stage Door Canteen.

Saturday, January 12th

The Louisiana Memorial Pavilion and exhibit galleries will be open from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
Beyond All Boundaries screenings will be at 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm only.
The American Sector Restaurant will be closed for lunch and dinner.
There will be no performance in the Stage Door Canteen.

Sunday, January 13th

All Museum venues, including the American Sector restaurant, return to standard hours of operation.
The US Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center will be open to the public. Final Mission: The USS Tang Experience is sold out on this day.
There will be no performance in the Stage Door Canteen.

Street Closures

Friday, January 11th

From 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm Andrew Higgins will be closed between Camp and Magazine Streets.  Magazine Street will be closed between St. Joseph and Calliope.

Saturday, January 12th

Andrew Higgins between Camp and Magazine from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm. From 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Andrew Higgins from Camp to Magazine Street will close again and Magazine Street from St. Joseph to Calliope will also be closed at these times.

Due to heavy visitation, parking around the Museum may be limited on these dates.
