SciTech Tuesday: Ask the Expert!

Want to know more about the science and technology of World War II?  From the life-saving properties of penicillin to the unlocking of atomic potential, WWII was a turning point in scientific discoveries. Check out our new Ask the Expert page where students can submit WWII-based science questions and watch video responses from Museum experts.

Responses include hands-on demonstrations, real WWII artifacts and ideas for classroom applications. The website is an exciting platform to explore essays about the war advances in science and technology, utilize lessons on radar and the tides, view a gallery of wartime science artifacts and even print a poster for your classroom.

New videos will be added frequently, so send us a question now – the next question we answer could be yours!
