Free Pearl Harbor Webinar this Wednesday!

dividing bar

To commemorate the 70th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, the education department is offering a FREE Electronic Field Trip this Wednesday to students and teachers across the country. In this webinar, we’ll explore three key questions, critical to understanding what unfolded that day and the United States’ entry into WWII. To answer these questions, students will encounter maps, primary sources, and museum artifacts.

We’ll give students a glimpse into our Museum galleries as we discuss the “Day of Infamy.” They’ll also have a chance to hear a first-hand account of a USS Arizona survivor.

Don’t forget to put on your thinking caps because we’ll be quizzing students throughout the program on what they’ve learned. All participants will have the opportunity to ask us questions throughout the webinar.

One of the neatest things about this program is that we can share the story of Pearl Harbor with new audiences throughout the United States (and the world)! So far, 230 teachers have registered from 29 states and three countries. There’s only 5 days left, so if you’re interested in joining them on this historic day, you can register here.
