The National WWII Museum works hard to collect, preserve and share the stories of World War II. And not just our curators and historians, we work to empower individuals to preserve and share their family’s story as well.
That’s why we created HonorYourHero.org – a brand new – a brand new, easy-to-use website to help you honor your WWII connection with a Commemorative Brick and preserve your family’s WWII story through an elegant 44-page Tribute Book. When personalized with your own photos and story, the Tribute Book becomes a powerful and inspiring photographic timeline of the war from your family’s perspective.
The new website allows you to easily add photos from Facebook, Flickr and Photobucket and features an easy-to-use “click and drag” setup to help you build your personalized Tribute Book. You can also share your Tribute Book with others via email and Facebook, allowing the whole family – regardless of distance – to build this special tribute together. When you’re done, every member of the family can purchase their own copy.

If I decide to create the personalized tribute book, do I understand correctly that there are only 4 pages of photos/text which can be personalized? I want to create a book on my mother’s experiences in the European theater from D-Day through end of war? Is this possible with your product? In other words, can I leave out portions which refer to other theaters of the war?
