December 7 – 1941, A Date That Will Live in Infamy
Today marks the 70th anniversary of Japan’s order to bomb Pearl Harbor. The surprise attack that eventually came on December 7, 1941 plunged the United States headlong into World War II. How will you commemorate the upcoming 70th anniversary of the “date that will live infamy?”
At The National WWII Museum in New Orleans, we will observe the day with free events, the International Conference on WWII and a new exhibit - Infamy: December 1941.
For those who cannot join us in New Orleans we offer traveling exhibit options for as low as $99, a conference webstreaming package and lesson plans and videoconferencing opportunities from our Education Department.

I live in Yuba City California and attended last year’s WWII Conference and will be attending again this year. I wish to notify the Museum that the oldest surviving Commissioned Officer from Pearl Harbor is a resident of our community. For a 11-5-2011 newspaper article: appealdemocrat.com.
